Cache Crowley has always been more comfortable working with his hands than sitting in a classroom. After graduating from high school, he explored other options before choosing construction over a traditional college path. Now working with CAS Constructors in Topeka, Cache is helping build critical infrastructure and encourages others to visit a job site or try an internship to see where a career in construction can lead.
For Cache Crowley, the classroom was never where he learned best. Growing up in the small town of Williamsburg, Kansas, he knew early on that hands-on work suited him better than textbooks and lectures. After graduating from Ottawa High School, Cache briefly attended CDL school in Topeka, considering a future behind the wheel of a truck.
It didn’t take long for him to realize construction was the better fit. On the job site, Cache found a career where learning happens by doing and effort turns into visible results. Working with CAS Constructors, he’s helped build projects like wastewater treatment facilities—work he takes pride in every time he sees it standing behind him.
Cache also discovered that construction offers opportunity without the pressure of a four-year degree. He sees a clear path for growth, from the field to leadership roles, and values the real-life skills that come with the trade. The knowledge he’s gained doesn’t stop at the job site—it carries over into everyday life, from understanding how systems work to fixing things at home.
